Wotofo Recurve RDA – Flavor Chasing with Curves

YouTube reviewer Mike Vapes has just announced his latest product – the Wotofo Recurve RDA. The third collaboration project from Mike Vapes within the past 12 months, the most obvious feature of the Recurve RDA is its uniquely-shaped, curved sleeve. Aesthetically, the Recurve definitely looks appealing, but it has a number of other features that are sure to attract to single-coil, flavor chasing fans. Here’s what we know so far:

Although he’s already designed two other attys, this is the first project between Mike Vapes and Wotofo. After the success of the Vandy Vape Icon and Iconic RDA, his development skills are obviously in high-demand, and the Wotofo Recurve RDA is another promising new product with flavor production at its core.

Wotofo Recurve RDA Build Deck

One of the most notable features (besides the gently curved sleeve), is the unique, bowl-shaped build area. Designed to guide e-liquid directly into the juice well, it should help to prevent messes whenever you fill from the drip tip. It features a postless single-coil deck with four base-mounted terminals, allowing for both forward and reverse wrapped coils.

Although the curved shape of the Recurve RDA is unlikely to affect it’s performance, the reduced-size chamber is designed specifically to maximize flavor; and it incorporates dotted, honeycomb airflow holes (rather than elongated slots) to provide smoother airflow delivery.

Airflow enters the chamber from both sides, providing a “two-directional” effect that further improves flavor, and the air channels are gently sloped downward to help prevent leakage. Here’s a look at the internals:

The Wotofo Recurve RDA will come with a standard 510 pin, along with a squonk pin to use with your favorite bottom-feeding device. It will also include two curved 810 drip tips (resin and clear) and a 510 drip tip adapter. Six colors will be available, including black, gunmetal, rainbow, stainless, blue, and gold.

I gotta admit, I love the look of the new Wotofo Recurve RDA by Mike Vapes. The elegant curved chassis is definitely sexy, and it’s finished off nicely with a colored resin drip tip and a subtle Recurve engraving. It’s certainly nice break from the traditional, straight tube designs that have dominated the market for years. And it appears to be well thought-out and configured perfectly for flavor chasers.

The only downside that I see (before seeing it in-person), is that it’s only compatible with single coils. Although it was specifically developed for flavor, it would be nice to see a dual coil option for bigger and more powerful builds.

I’m guessing that housing a dual coil would hurt the flavor-orientated design, so we can only hope that a second version will be developed for cloud chasing enthusiasts. Learn more about the Recurve RDA at Wotofo.com.
